November crafting

And so begins the crafts for Christmas … and other projects.  Actually, I can’t show the Christmas ones yet – too many peeping eyes.

2010_10_27 Due in Dec swap (to Daftcrafter) 1040294 smI participated in a swap organized by my Ravelry Due in December 2010 group.  We were supposed to make one item for the baby and throw in a few extras for Momma.  My swap recipient received a car seat blanket as shown here with my favorite model, Cindy (she’s a little big for the car seat).  It has leg pockets with a split up the middle for the seat belt.  Mom received Raisinets, Lindt truffles, and fruit leather (all on her “wish list”).

I also included a doily I made a few months ago and wasn’t sure what I was going to do with it.

2010_11_05 Due in Dec swap (from marthapants)1040304 smMy swap partner sent me an awesome package! In clockwise order: chocolate covered pretzels, two burp cloths*, an apple hat for baby*, dark chocolate bar, an organic flax seed and lavender eye pillow*, and earrings*.  (All * items were made by her!)

She said the scented eye pillow helped her during her birth the last time. Isn’t that apple hat just adorable?

As for my other crafting, I recently finished another doily, but it still needs blocking before I can show it off (I think I have one I finished last month upstairs waiting as well).  I’ve made some cotton washcloths/dishcloths that I was thinking of using for Christmas presents … but now I’m not so sure.  That’s my biggest problem right now – I keep changing my mind on what to make for presents.  I’ve started a ____ for my sister and her husband, but then I also wanted to make ____ for him; I have another idea for her as well.  And then there’s the couple ideas I have for the great nieces, my dad, close friends, etc.
